IN 1912 CLARENCE BOYNTON MOVED TO PHOENIX FOR HEALTH REASONS. IN HIS EARLY YEARS HE BEFRIENDED A DOCTOR FROM SAINT LUKE'S HOSPITAL. MR. BOYNTON WAS A VERY WELL EDUCATED PERSON, HE AND HIS NEW FOUND FRIEND EMBARKED ON A JOURNEY THROUGH NORTHERN ARIZONA, DRIVING A 1913 STUDEABAKER TOURING CAR. THEIR JOURNEY TOOK OVER ONE MONTH TO COMPLETED AND ADDED 1,000 MILES TO THE CAR THEY DROVE. IT IS A JOURNAL OF HOW LIFE WAS BACK THEN AND WHAT WE TAKE FOR GRANTED NOWADAYS.
